Shooting film in the digital age and playing like children – Day 151

Everynow and again grown men just have to let go of societies ideas of adulthood and just act like children, In fact if its not happening at least once a day something is going wrong. With this in mind Rhys, Sam and tony set of to the woods to play on a big rope swing, as I’m sure everyone our age does…

“Can you trust your friends too much”

As I have been becoming more active on my bad ankle and less reliant on crutches this meant I could also join in. Now when I said a big rope swing earlier I really meant it, well it may not be the biggest swing but its on a pretty steep hill so the further out you swing the higher of the floor you become, and in the hazed words of Harold and Kumar “we were not low”! This also came as a good excuse to bring out my medium format film camera to shoot some black and white film, as for one reason or another it has been collecting dust on my shelf for some time. Heres some of the results.

“Clipping in and getting psyched”

“Getting the shot”

Tony takes a break to get some aerial footage.
“To the horizon”

All of these shots were taken with a Bronica ETRS medium format film camera, and a roll of Kodak Tri-x 400 black and white film, self developed.

Lets just remember, even if they are towards a rope swing in the woods with your mates, the little steps are the most important.

’till next time, Steve.
